A+: The Young Designers' Platform Showcases Fresh Talents
Launched in February 2008 as an "incubator" program for new designers and design innovation, A+ showcases emerging talents alongside Accent on Design's established contemporary design resources. Prototypes and finished products from three new designers will be featured in the August edition.
Diane Ruengsorn is the founder of Domestic Aesthetic in Astoria, N.Y., a young company offering well-designed, affordable and sustainable home products. Heather Lins, a designer from Madison, Wis., will present a collection of soft goods with designs based on vintage typography, eye charts and conversation bubbles. Stanley Ruiz, a Brooklyn, N.Y.-based industrial designer with an extensive background in craft design and production, designs contemporary home accessories and furniture pieces which fuse industrial and natural design.
